Windchime Workshop
Using driftwood 5-10 inches long, beads, shells, charms and other found objects we’ll be creating a three strand windchime/suncatcher. You will be supplied with a plethora of bead choices with various sizes, shapes, colors and materials (wood, stone, shell, glass, etc). You will be able to choose your driftwood, cord color, beads, shells and charms.
Some materials may not be suitable for the outdoors but would be spectacular indoors as a suncatcher! Many of my beads have an iridescent coating on them so when the light hits them you’ll have a prismatic effect in your home (both humans and pets like that 😉
Skills needed: ability to use a tweezers, thread beads on and tie knots in skinny cord and think outside the box! Sample windchimes and advice will be provided to help you design your piece.
If you have a special object that you would like to include in your windchime, you are welcome to bring it.
This class includes a beer, cider or non-alcoholic beverage.
Note: driftwood and shells have been ethically collected from legally approved beaches.
